sister company, SpatialPoint,
located near O'Hare Airport, have an immediate need for a Lead Developer
for ongoing consulting and commercial product development. We are a
MapInfo Strategic Partner and a Microsoft Certified Partner. We provide
consumer and business related mapping systems to Fortune 1,000
companies. Our products are both desktop based and server based.
This is a senior position that requires strong problem
solving skills, the ability to get things done, work on multiple
projects, and hard work. We're looking for the Tiger Woods of
programming and software engineering.

a GIS Analyst/ Lead Developer for ongoing consulting and commercial
product development. Empower is a MapInfo Strategic Partner and
provides desktop mapping (business geographics) sales, marketing and
customer service software applications automation to Fortune 1,000
companies. Our products run under MS Windows & Oracle8i.
Your profile should include some or all
of the following:
 | Self-motivated, self-starter &
hands-on
|
| Takes ownership of tasks and
doesn't quit until satisfied
|
| Be knowledgeable in MapBasic
and/or ArcView and one or more of the following: Visual Basic, C++,
Delphi, ActiveX, SQL Server, Oracle, Java, ASP, VBScript/JavaScript
and Microsoft IIS
|
| Have experience in web-based
mapping products (such as MapXtreme)
|
| Have experience performing
application and database design, UI design, prototyping, and testing
|
| Understanding of client/server
tools and technologies
|
| Strong and proven problem
solving/debugging abilities
|
| Ability to work well with others |
